RESHAPE WINNERS 2019
Last week we concluded the RESHAPE FORUM, the annual meeting about the Wearable Technology and Smart Products hosted in INDUSTRY From Needs to Solutions event, from the 29th to the 31st of October 2019. During the RESHAPE FORUM we held a series of appointments:
20 Designers selected from the Reshape Competition 2019 presented their projects and researches in front of an audience of INDUSTRY From Needs to Solutions and Reshape.
The designer has been selected by the Reshape Jury including Simone Cesano – Senior Director Design Operations Adidas, Alberto Lovisetto- 3D Project Coordinator Moncler, Behnaz Farahi – Architecture Fashion and Interaction Designer, Julia Weems – Fashion School Director at IED Barcelona, Raquel Buj Founder of Zap & Buj.
The winners’ selection was discussed with the Reshape Scientific committee composed by Aldo Sollazzo Reshape and Noumena Director, Valerie Bergeron MaterFAD Director & FAD Deputy Director, Anastasia Pistofidou Director of the FabTextile Research lab and the Fabricademy, and Bradly Dunn Klerk Fashion and Technology expert. In the 1:1 CORNER meeting, the designers have the chance to meet the entrepreneurs and experts, from research, and industry, to enhance new collaborations and partnerships.
During the RESHAPE SYMPOSIUM has been addressed the present and future scenarios of the fashion industry focus on digital transformation and its impact on socio-economic models. The panel highlighted the implication of new material technologies towards market applications, supported by emerging tools of design and manufacturing, new educational programs, emerging practices, and artistic collaborations.
Aldo Sollazzo – Reshape and Noumena Director introduced the Reshape Forum, launching a panel discussion including: Raquel Buj – Co-founder Zap&Buj, Bradly Dunn – Fashion and technology expert, Oscar Tomico – Head of the Design Engineering Bachelor program at ELISAVA , Moon Ribas Cyborg Foundation and the moderator Laurenti Arnault Founder of WTVOX and Amanda Cosco Founder of Electric Runway
Moreover Reshape showcased the most valuable projects, at the Reshape Exhibition, submitted from all over the world oesterreichischeapotheke.com. The exhibition brings together a wide array of creative approaches, and highlighted solutions sorted in four different categories: computational matter, habitats & environment, living systems, design for interaction.
The RESHAPE SYMPOSIUM concluded with the AWARD CEREMONY, and Aldo Sollazzo awarded the Winners and Honorable Mentions in the Wearable Technology and Smart Product categories. The Award was sponsored by IED Barcelona offering two Scholarship for the new Master Design for Wearables and Fabricademy and Additionally Laurenti Arnault, Founder of WTVOX awarded three designers, Carla Corpas – Hermosa Decadencia, Lucie Ketelsen Reu Jacket, Stephanie Santos Fungi Couture giving them the opportunity to take part in the new platform Wardrobe of tomorrow.
