RESHAPE FORUM 2019

Three days of meetings and appointments give life to Reshape Forum, our event at INDUSTRY-From Needs to Solutions in the framework of the Barcelona Industry Week – counting more than 5 000 visitors. Connecting fashion companies, institutions and industry players, our speakers and attendees include key actors in the wearables and product design markets such as: Adidas, Luxottica, Autodesk, Sony CLS, Institutional parts as The Parsons School of Design, Waag Society, IaaC, Fab Textile, IED Barcelona, and a range of experts from the design scene.

ROUNDTABLE

INDUSTRY-From Needs to Solutions and Reshape put together a panel of experts in the areas of fashion design, product innovation, and wearable technology. The main talking points revolve around opportunities for further business development and future applications in these sectors.

1:1 CORNER

The 1:1 corner is a face-to-face meeting between the emerging designers and partnering company of Reshape. The selected designers from the Reshape competition will meet with entrepreneurs and experts in the field of education and research, to present their solutions to the market needs. This format wants to enhance new collaborations and partnerships among the parts involved.

PROJECTS PRESENTATION

Selected designers from Reshape competition will go on stage to present their projects. During the Reshape Forum at the INDUSTRY From Needs to Solutions event, designers will pitch their research in front of a large audience of experts and companies of the sector.

EXHIBITION

The Reshape Forum will open the event presenting the Reshape exhibition. A showcase of the most valuable projects, submitted from all over the world for the Reshape prize
consideration. The exhibitions bring together a wide array of artistic approaches. International emerging designers open up diverse perspectives on wearable technology and product design.

AWARD CEREMONY

Reshape celebrates the winner designers on the main stage of INDUSTRY From Need Solutions. During the Reshape Forum, experts are called to define the honourable mentions and the final two positions of the competition, from both categories.

NETWORKING NIGHT

The Reshape Networking Night is a close event for Industries and company to connect with best talents of the Reshape competition to build up professional networks and new synergy. This networking function brings together representatives from a wide range of industry sectors as, Adidas, Luxottica, Wasp, Marcelo Vilà and many experts from the fashion and product design fields.

Alberto Lovisetto
Currently working for Moncler as 3D Project coordinator. Alberto worked for Dainese since 2008 and created the last technical motorbike and ski wear collections. Always been technology enthusiastic immediately tried to utilize innovative instruments in order to speed up his work results.

Raquel Buj
Co-founders of ZAP & BUJ a platform that works at the intersection between Architecture, Fashion and Technology from the experimentation in new materials and digital tools that make this approach is possible.

Moon Ribas
Moon Ribas is a Catalan avant-garde artist and cyborg activist best known for developing the Seismic Sense, an online seismic sensor once implanted in her feet that allowed her to perceive earthquakes taking place anywhere in the planet through vibrations in real time. Ribas transposed the earthquakes into either sound, in her piece Seismic Percussion; or dance, in Waiting For Earthquakes. In these performances the Earth is the composer and the choreographer; and Ribas, the interpreter.

Oscar Tomico
Dr. Oscar Tomico is head of the Design Engineering Bachelor program at ELISAVA Design and Engineering school, Assistant Professor in the Designing Quality in Interaction Research Group, working in the Wearable Senses Lab at Eindhoven University of Technology. Current projects focus on the textile industry and involve stakeholders during the design process to create ultra-personalized smart textile services in the form of soft wearables or soft interiors.
