Denote is the next step in the “smart watch” evolutionary chain. Through use of its gesture based controls and flexible OLED display, it is able to bring a more physically interactive and simple approach to the digital world. Designed to fit comfortably on the user’s forearm it is not only functional, but fashionable with its sleek stainless steel body and thin screen. It also allows the user to keep their hands free for tasks at hand making it the perfect device for multitasking and completing jobs. The Denote arm device utilizes its front facing cameras at the base of the hand as well as a sensor on the wrist to detect individual muscle/tendon contractions in the wrist to track hand positionings and gestures. This enables the capability to introduce control of the device via individual hand positionings and movements. Such abilities would enable the user to use certain functions of the device without the need of your other hand to even touch the screen. These
seemingly effortless gestures are significantly more efficient than having to take the time to tap through all of the applications, adjust settings, and send messages. This technology could even go as far as to track certain aspects of sign language, such as the alphabet, and convert them into text or speech for conversations through messaging, email, or live translation to enable auditory communication for non-speaking/muted individuals.

This device would have a wide target user audience ranging anywhere from field workers, stay at home moms, to teenagers. Denote is great for work environments because you have access to a smart device even if both hands are occupied. For example, a car mechaniccould simultaneously have a live video call with their boss to show what they are doing via the rear camera, be viewing a diagram their displayed the OLED forearm screen, and still have both hands engaged on fixing an engine. Denote also has all of the messaging, calling, and entertainment capabilities of a traditional tablet or smartphone making it an all purpose device.
Furthermore, since it is mounted on the forearm, it frees up the users pocket/bag space and eliminates the drop risk while in use.
