“Self-survey” The Medical Device Design
The medical device design for early diagnosis and monitoring of osteoporosis on 40 years and older people(patients) via microwave technology by using individual measurement method. Early diagnosis of osteoporosis is very important in preventing the undesired consequences of the disease. In this regard, it is aimed to raise awareness of people and make these tests easily accessible. Firstly, the product will be used in pharmacies and healt instutitions. In case of illness, individuals will be able to obtain the device and measure the disease in their social environments. The measurements will be transferred to the National Health Information System by the device and the doctors and patients will be able to meet online. In this way, patients will be able to control the disease on a regular basis by starting the necessary medication intake and exercise.

The device measures with microwave technology. The most important advantage of Microwave technology is that it does not emit radiation. The advantages of the product are that it is easily accessible, cost-effective and able to measure very quickly.

The product is designed to make measurements of the wrist and leg at the same time. In the sitting position, the patient puts the device on his / her leg, then places his / her wrist in the area at the top of the device, and fix the device to his / her leg.
The device is powered by the power button. Identification is made from the user interface on the screen and the measurement starts. The measurement ends at the end of 40 seconds and the result is shared online in the National Health Information System.
